H1 transfer urgent...need help

Dear All,

I am on OPT till May 31, 2005.

From Aug 23, 2004 thru Nov 7, 2004 i worked on OPT.

I had H1 filed on Sep 28, 2004.

Since i was still on F1-OPT when laid off & WORKING ON OPT IS NOT COMPULSORY AS IT IS ON H-1B, do i still need latest pay stubs when i transfer H-1B in Jan 2005 assuming thats when the H-1B comes..

In Other words i was still on F-1 OPT during the lay off from Nov 7, 04 to Jan, 05. Do i still need Nov and Dec 2004 pay stubs ??

Please answer if u have been in a similar situation.

If you can trasfer your H-1 as soon as you get, they may not ask for your paystubs. If you wait for a month then definitely you need to provide that months paystub. Who is your H-1 sponsor? Is it the company which laid off or some other company?

If you have Master's degree you qualify for the additinal 20,000 visas starting from March, 2005. If u do qualify then ask your employer to withdraw your petition and you will have time until your OPT ends to find a new job.
 
Co. changing names while u r on H1B

hello every one,

i am on H1B with a co. and that co has changed name since i joined
. also my pay stub has new name.

Should we have to inform INS that the co. has changed the name? also i am planning to get the H1 transfered to a different co in near future. if i have not informed the INS will it have any impact on the transfer process???

Any one familier with the answer . please let me know
ur advise is greatly appreciated.
