H1 transfer steps

Hello,
my friends works for company A on H1B. Her H1B expires in March 2004 (first 3 yrs).

She got a job offer from Company B with start date of August 2003.

She has following questions :

1. If she applies for H1 transfer now, can she start working for company B before approval comes.

2. Will transfer of H1 be valid until March 2004 (expiration date of original H1) or for another 3 years.

YES, she needs receipt from BCIS that H1 transfer has been filed and can start work immediately with receipt of filing

2. Will transfer of H1 be valid until March 2004 (expiration date of original H1) or for another 3 years?

---- New employer has to get new LCA approved from DOL it takes 6-7 days maximum, to file with H1B transfer papers to BCIS, the new employer should get LCA for 3 years and on I-29 petition lawyer should ask new/transfer H1B for 3 years, BCIS automatically will not approve for 3 years it has to be asked on forms by employer/lawyer and LCA should be for 3 years
