H1 transfer, H4 transfer needed or not

HI, all,
I am in the process of my H1-B transfer without extension. ( I am on my fourth year). My attorney told me my wife's H4 does not need attention now, since she can't get extension petition now.
My question is, since i am transfering my H1B to a new employer, will my wife's H4 need transfer as well? My attorney said no need.
But her H4 is with my current employer? It is good til September 2008.

It seems there are 2 conflicting answers for this. One is H4 is not employee specific and as long as H1 is maintaining status, H4 status is valid, so that no need to file H4 transfer. Another is H4 must be transferred along with H1.

But majority seems to support the idea that H4 needs to be transferred as well.
I'd say it is safer to file H4 transfer.

Then which form to take for the H4 transfer application?
I-539 can't be used since no status change here.
