H1-Transfer from University to Company

Hi,

Currently I am working in a university on H1-visa (exempt). I got H1 visa (non-exempt) with company A which starts from October 1st, 2007. But, now i have a permanent job offer from company B. Can I transfer H1-visa from university to Company B? (... by showing proof that i have a H1-Cap number allocated to me via company A)

Experts please help! I need to tell company B whether i am going to accept the offer or not. If yes, i need to provide documents for H1-Transfer. Am i eligible for H1-transfer as i mentioned in my first email.
