Please help me figure out if i am exempt from H1 cap.
I was on H1 from oct 1999 (was filed in may 1999 but delayed as was filed after the cap reached that year) to july 2000. then converted to J1 to do residency (july2000 to June 2004)and now have applied for waiver.
does the fact that i have been on H1 in past 6 years exempt me from cap when i apply for J1 to H1 status conversion?
