H1 to H4 Visa

Hi,
I'm new to this site, please advice me what to do. I'm
on H1 Visa. My Project finished in November 2002, after that I was not paid. So, i don't have recent paystubs.
Now i would like to change my status to H4 visa. I'm planning
to go to India for a trip, if i apply for H4 visa in India, will
they ask me about my recent paystubs etc or any other
problems will i have to face ?. I have no problem submitting
my wife's documents like her W2 or recent paystubs.
Do u see any problem in my case?. Please advice me.

It is better to file H4 from here. US consulates will definitely will want your paystubs and might conclude that you are a fraud risk. My opinion.
