H1 to H4 transfer

Hi:

I am on H1. I recently got married and my wife came on H4 dependent VISA.
She has her own H1 now.

Let's say I lose my job and my time for transfer (which I gather is 15 days) has
run out. I file for H4 dependent and become my wifes dependent.

Can I apply for jobs from H4 and again get a new H1 without leaving for India?

Any comments/advice is much welcome

---- the day you loose job search new job and file H1 transfer or file H1 to H4 COS

Can I apply for jobs from H4 and again get a new H1 without leaving for India?
----- you cant apply for jobs on H4 status, you can search jobs and if find a job and employer is ready to hire you then again employer need to file H4 to H1 COS and you will not be able to work till your H1 is APPROVED ( if I-94 attached with approval notice no need to go out and can start working if no I-94 with approval then go out of US get H1 Visa stamp enter US on H1 status then start working on H1)

H1 TO H4 - Urgent need help!

Hi,

My husband is on H-1B now and it expires on March 25. I am also on H-1B. Can he apply for an H-4? What application form is to be used? Is it I-539? What are the chances to get approved? How long does it take to get an approval? thanks so much in advance!

--YES he should apply change of status before his I-94 gets expire

--- depends if you are expert in filing H1 to H4 COS or take the help of your Company or any Lawyer
How long does it take to get an approval?
