H1 to H4 Question

I have my H4 visa stamp in the passport upto Oct'03.
I got H1 approval through change of status in Mar'03. I didn't join the company or getting paid. I just have their approval notice.Now I want to covert back to H4. What are my options.

Can I go back and come using my existing H4 visa in the passport and show my husband's latest h1 extension approval notice to get my i-94 extended based on his h1 expiry period.

Can I revalidate my H4 visa in US at a later date using my husband's h1 approval notice or do i need to have separate i-797 for myself (H4). Since, he didn't apply for me (H4) along with his h1 extension. I didn't have one for me.

Let me know my options.
 
You should go back and come using my existing H4 visa in the passport (and show your husband's latest h1 extension approval noticeonly if asked) to get your i-94 extended based on his h1 expiry period. You can do this by visiting the nearest POE..
You cannot use St.Louis.

Is it not possible for me to revalidate my visa in US after coming back to US with my I-94 extended based on my husband's h1 approval notice?
