H1 to H4 back to H1

Hello,
I have been laid off from company "A" ... so I am converting my status to H4. Incase, I get a job in company "B" after few months, can I use my company A\'s H1 again to apply for a H1 transfer?
PS: I am within US.

Please advise...

Don\'t think so ...............

I don\'t think you can do that. Once you convert to H4, you are officially off your H1 status. When you join a new company, you will have to get a new H1. Good Luck.
