RIGHT NOW I AM WORKING FOR COMPANY A ON H-1 VISA, I ALREADY APPLIED IN COMPANY B AND GOT H-1 APPROVAL 3MONTHS BACK, FROM COMPANY B. I COULD NOT JOIN COMPANY B BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT HAVE ANY OPENING AT THAT TIME.
NOW THEY HAVE THE OPENING, CAN I JOIN NOW.
IS THERE ANY TIME LIMIT TO JOIN.

MY LAWYER TOLD ME TO APPLY AGAIN FOR H-1 FROM COMPANY B.OTHERWISE THINGS MAY GET RISKY AND COMPLICATED.
SO IF IN FUTURE INS LOOKS FOR PAYSTAB, THEN I CAN SHOW IT FROM COMPANB.

H1s are valid...

Since you did not join company B at all, you have the luxury to join comapny B anytime after the transfer approval. However there is a time limit. No lawyer agrees on what this time limit is. Definitely 180 days and more will be a No-No. Not sure about 90 days+

I thought H1 is valid throughout its validity date until the employer revoke them. In my opinion as long as you can show paystubs that links company a and company b youre safe, that is, there is no gap that will show that you are unemployed even for a short period. Also it's safe to ask employer b for a letter asking you to join them at a specified date.

Still better to ask a lawyer...good luck.
