H1 to F1 when h1 6 years approaching

Question on change of status from H1 to F1 .

Suppose 6 years H1 is expiring is very soon(less than 6 mnths), Is it possible to change the status to fulltime F1 and stay in country legally.

h1 6 years period is valid only for h1,h4 and L1? or all types of Visas?

yes, what you propose is possible. the 6 year limit applies to H1.
L1A and L1B have limits as well, but of different length.
