I travelled to US on H1 for Company A. Before it was due for renewal (i.e. within the first 3 years) I got admitted to a grad school and changed status to F1. I wish to know
1 - When I graduate will I have to apply for a fresh H1 (if I am not taking employment with Company A) or can I use the same action notice that I got when I applied from Company A.
2 - If I can use the same action notice how does that work?
3 - Will it be different if I want to go back to company A.
4 - If I am granted a H1 in 2009 and if I have already spent 2yrs in H1 status before going on F1, how many years will have on the new H1 granted in 2009. I was under the impression that I will have 4 years remaining. Is it correct.
