H1 Stamping Required for H4 ? please help

Hi ,
I was on OPT(after my F1) and have got my H1 approved with start date of oct 1 , I want my wife to come on H4 , do I have to go and get the stamping on my H1 before she can go for H4 stamping ? or if sending the approval notice and other documents to her should be sufficient in getting her H4 visa ? please advice

thanks for the quick reply but I want to ask whether i can get stamping done in canada or I have to go back to india ?

thanks all , my wife got the visa yesterday without any probs , I didnt have my H1 stamped , just sent her the original notice of action and that was sufficient.
