H1 stamping in Mumbai

Hi All,
I was asked by the consulate in Mumbai to come back after 21 days for my H1 stamping
since I was born in U.A.E( I have an Indian Passport). They also cancelled my old H1 visa
and thats why I am stuck in India.
Has anyone gone thru the same experience and how is the process after 21 days.
I would really appreciate any replies.

Hi kish..I read about

one such experiance from Islamabad, the person got his H1 visa after
21 days no questions asked.
Could you please let me know of any unsual docs that are reqired
for the H1 visa , apart from
1) passport, I-797 , I-129 LCA, offer letter, recent employment letter, pays stubs , W2s, degree certs, edu evals, transcripts
and exp letters..anything like company photos ? address maps?

did you get a demand draft from Mumbai local bank or from some other city\'s bank ?

Thanks for getting back.
The papers needed were I 797, copy of LC and I think I 129 and letter from the company(its better to carry the pay stubs)
Yes, I took the draft from a local bank in Bombay

What about polics documents

I have heard now that you need ot produce police certificates for stamping in india. Is this true? If you are going back for a couple fo days where should you get this from?
i mean US or India?
