h1 stamping at st louis and I94

Hi..

I had applied for visa extension in aug 2003.
It got approved by 3 rd week of oct 2003.

In the mean while I travelled out of the country (I came to know of the approval on the day I was leaving). As my existing visa stamp was valid I returned on my existing visa (it was a short trip and had no time to get it stamped outside).

I want to get my visa extension stamped on my passport now.
Will there be an issue as my I94 has changed.

Yes, first fix your I94, you should have shown the new approval while coming in.

My lawyer tells me.. its ok.. if you dont stamp ur renewal on ur passport now.

When you travel out of the country next time, you can get it stamped from there or travel to canada and get it done.

Is this information correct?
