H1 Revalidation

Hello,

I have a valid H1 Visa stamp until September 2003 in the name of my previous company. Since then I have changed jobs.
I will be visiting India this Friday.
Do I need to re-validate my H1 stamp on my passport?

I have read on another legal site, that you do not need to revalidate your unexpired visa stamp just because you changed your job. You can still travel back into US with your new H1 approval and old but unexpired visa stamp.

Could you please clarify? I am tensed and dont want to assume anything.

Thank you.

Regards,

Ked

hi,

as previous posts i think you may travel as long as you have valid visa and new approval, did you check your previous h1b is still valid. how long you are going on vacation and coming back.

thanks

Sanju,

Thank you.
Well, my current H1B is valid until 2005 and the visa stamp from my previous employer expires in Sep 2003.

Its just a short visit to India and judging by your reply, I dont think I need to send my passport to the US Consulate for revalidation..right?

Any comments are most welcome.

hi

you can come back on old visa and new approval notice.
did you check your prevous h1b(i-797) is cancelled/revoked
by previous employer, even though no problem. post your experience after coming back.

thanks
