H1 revalidation issue

Hi...recd passport and papers from state dept today but the visa dates are incorrect ? Can anybody clarify, if I am wrong and what should I do now ?

MY H1 and visa on passport was valid till Jan 31st 2004.

My company applied for extension and got it till aug 27,2004 as this completes my 6 years. I had to travel in sep.2004 so my company applied for 7th year extension also and got the approval from aug 2004 to Aug 2005 in premium processing.

When I sent for revalidation and requested to revalidate visa till aug 2005, they revalidated till aug 27, 2004 only as per the previous extension ?

Did I do something wrong or is it a mistake on their end ? What should I do now to rectify the same at the earliest.

Any prompt suggestions are most welcome !!

------- did you ONLY attached the latest H1 approval notice with valid I-94 that is valid till from aug 2004 to Aug 2005 or other approval notices????

I did put a copy of first and original of latest extension till aug 2005.

also requested in my letter and company's letter about extension till aug 2005.

Checked the website and sent to DC for correction. The site says it responds in 5 working days for corrections. Planning to visit India on 23rd, so thought send it and see, if they correct.

I have sent it with a letter explaining the mistake. Any risks involved ?

It is already more than 5 working days and didnot receive the passport from DC. Is there any contact number to inquire ? Please help ..thanks in advance
