H1 Revalidation in Mexico/Canada

Hi ,

My Old H1- with Previous employer expired in May 06 , I am planning to go to Mexico/Canada for my H1 Revalidation with new Employer H1 , have my Labour and i-140 cleared .

1) Do i need to go to India for new Stamping or it is ok to go to Mexico/Canada.
2) If i plan to go to Mexico Do i need to have a Mexico visa.
3) Where/How can i get the Mexico visa and how long dose it takes.

H1B revalidation can be done at Canada/Mexico US Consulates.

2)
I believe very few country citizens need not have visa to travel Mexico.
IF YOU ARE CITIZEN OF INDIA, YES - YOU DO NEED A VALID VISA TO TRAVEL MEXICO, WHICH IS TRUE FOR CANADA.

There are chances that people are not asked for visa/permit at Mexico border. But as per rule, you need to have one. Border rule/free trade zone DOES NOT apply for Indian citizens. This is a verified & true information from one of the Mexican Consulate.

3)
Contact your nearest mexican consulate for visa information. It might take somewhere between 4-6 weeks for getting Mexico visa.
