Hi,

I have taken my visa interview date on 1st feb. for my H1 extension for 3 more years with the same firm.
For the first time, I came on behalf of my Indian company(A) for 6 months to work for a company in US(B).
I went to India, worked for 10 odd months with my Indian firm(A) and left it. Then I came back to US and I am working for the same firm(B) since last 13 months or so who had sponsored my visa.

At the visa consulate, if they ask me what I did in India for 11 months in the middle, what should be my answer?

At my first interview at consulate I had proved that I have left my Indian firm(A) and I am getting a job here in US.

Please help...
Thanks,
Nimesh

Clarify: What visa (L, H or B )did you to US while you are in Comp A.
While stamping comp B visa (H1), did consulate cancelled the Comp A visa in your pp?

Hi,
It was for the same H1 visa which I am working in right now.
My current H1 is 3 years old, and I have a straight gap of 11 months in India.

I worked for 6 months here first in Jun 03, then spend 11 months in India and now working on the same H1 for 13 months.

Its the extension for the same firm which I am now getting stamped for.

I don't see any problem

mnimesh,

I don't see any problem at all; they are many cases they spend time in India like 3 months or more...so you went for 11 months and got some good opportunity..so you worked there....you should not be worried at all; you can say I worked in India for 11 months then my employer called me and ask we are getting better openings here so if you could join us, since I had valid H1-B with the same company, so I went back to USA and continued with the same company.

Do not worried everything will be allright.

Good Luck
Raj

Thanks Raj,

I cant say them that I came back to US for better opeinings because when I came back I worked on the same terms and same post which I had before.

Also the 11 months I spend in India was for the Indian firm which had initially sponsored my US visa for my training purpose. I then left them and came here directly to work for them.

Can I tell them that I had some family problems and came here for that?
Will they ask me some proof for that?
