H1 petition & Visa Stamping different dates

Hi
Anybody who has come across this kind, please give me directions.
This is from one company :
I got my H1 till Jan\'2002 and I sent for VISA stamping and was stamped
till 2005.
Now I got new (renewal) H1 from the same company, do I still have to
send for VISA stamping. I did not complete my 6 yr period.
Please give suggesstions.

If it was a mistake on the part of the revalidation gang you have to correct it. So send your new H1 approval for revalidation. You do not want to be deported 10 years from now for illegaly staying here without a valid visa stamp.
Did the I94 also reflect this mistake (the one issued at the POE )?

I do not know whether it is a mistake or not, since my H1 is going to
expire in Jan\'2002 I revalidated(renewed) my H1 for further 2 yrs, but
from the same company, since my VISA stamping is till 2005 from my
previous H1(same company) do I still have to send for stamping with
new H1 (renewed/revalidated) ?
I travelled last year overseas while coming into USA the I94 was
stamped as 2005.
Basically I am asking, whether I can travel overseas with this VISA.
Any suggestions...
 
Better to get it corrected

I guess you got the wrong visa stamping last time. If I were you I would not take a chance with this visa. I would either get it corrected here or @ the consulate abroad if I travel out of US.
