URGENT!! H1 pay stubs issue prob and travel out of the country!!

Gurus,

A lil' concern!!! Hope to get some pointers from some experiences and some recommended actions.

Me and my friend are going out of the country on a vacation for a period of 1 month in the month of June. We both are on H1 visas and currently working on client projects for the past 7+ months.

My concern is: Last year I was out of project for 4 months and my friend was off project for 7 months. And as guessed so, we were not paid during that period (means no pay stubs for that period). Acoording to what I have been reading, "technically" we are out of status for those many months (when not paid).

Do you think it will be a problem @ the port of entry when we return back from our vacation, because of our _out of status_ last year (for those months). Does the officer @ the POE by any means can have info on that period, for which he/she can create problems entering back??

Our Visas/H1 approval notice/I-94 are all in order and also we have our recent pay stubs in hand.

Has anybody had a similiar experience and has travelled recently in such a case?? What all questions they ask nowadays with so many new regulations implemented, @ the POE?

Hoping for some replies and thx in advance for the help!!

Maverick099,

There should be no problem.
Carry all your latest payslips, W2 (if you have filed the previous year taxes)

i know few people who travelled recently who are in similar cases like you and they had no problems.

Read the following link (completely), In this, the person who applied GC got layed off before I140 approval, was out of job for more than 6 months, but still got GC for being honest with INS.

So dont worry and have a Happy Vacation
