H1 Married to GC Holder(GC from 4 yrs, 9 mths)

I am on H1 and my wife who immigrated on a family based immigration in Nov 2001 becomes eligible for naturalization in Nov this year. My employer wants to file my GC now.
can you please tell me whats good.
1) Say No to my employer, and file my GC after my wife becomes citizen
2) Dont tell anything to my employer, have him file for my GC and also File my GC through my wife after she becomes citizen( will this affect because I have already been filed by my employer.)

You can have multiple GC petitions pending. This is probably the safest way.

If you have the resources, apply both ways - multiple GC petitions are fine, as you have been told.
