H1 & L1 Visa .......both visa at same time

I have got H1B visa stamped recently & was supposed to go to USA in early January 2008.

However, my current company has offered me to send on a very lucrative position to US, This position can span from 1 year to - 4 years, however they will be processing L1 for me.

I am worried whether this will affect my H1 visa. Can someone please give me some infor regarding this.

I assume that you are outside the United States right now. You got your H-1B stamp in your passport, but you haven't actually used it yet.

You won't be able to have two different non-immigrant status at the same time. The Consulate may or may not cancel your H-1B visa. But if you get your L-1 stamping and enter the U.S. with it, it effectively nullifies your H-1B.
