H1 & L1 can I have both visa

Hi,
I got my H1b stamped in Dec 2006 through company B. I work in a company A in India.
1. Can I get my H1b transferred to comapny A before I work in US with company B.
2. If above is not possible can comapny A apply for L1 without I cancelling my H1.
3. If above is possible, what will be my status of H1b. Can this also hold good and can be transferred to comapny A when I will be in US on L1.
Also pls provide me best solution to be in US. H1 or L1.

zTo transfer your visa from B to A you must be present in USA first, most of the time USCIS ask 2-3 months paystub as a proof of comp B employment before visa transfer.[ It can not be done outside USA./COLOR]

2. If above is not possible can comapny A apply for L1 without I cancelling my H1. Once you go for L1 visa stamping consulate will definitely cancell your H1.

3. If above is possible, what will be my status of H1b. Can this also hold good and can be transferred to comapny A when I will be in US on L1. NO. Unless you enter with a H1 visa , you can not transfer any H1. You have to apply new H1 which will come under quota. Year 2008 quota start April 1, 2007 and it may get exhausted within a month itself.Also pls provide me best solution to be in US. H1 or L1.
