Hi,

I plan to revalidate my H1B visa and my spouse's H4 visa from St. Louis and have a couple of questions:

1. Should I send one employment letter for both H1 and H4, or inlcude separate letters?
2. Is it required to include the wedding pictures for H4 revalidation in the US?

Thanks for your help!

Does not harm in sending 2.

Since you are revalidting, you do not need to include marriage pics.

I am about to do the same, sending passport to St Louis for H1 and H4 revalidation.

Are you suggesting that I include 2 copies of the same employment letter in the package?

Another question I have is about the return address envelope instructions. It says that "Please use your address as the “from” address on the airbill or the self-addressed envelope."

This means that the both From and To address will be the same.

How are you guys doing it?

I'm just suggesting, should not harm.

This is also not a problem. Also put your phone number so if Fedex (or whoever) wants to contact you then they have it.

I Plan to use Fedex but you know they don't have a decent padded envelope.

Their regular federal express envelope is of cheap quality and how would I make the same size fedex envelope fit in to another same size fedex envelope which is to be used for returning the passport?

Any alternatives to this?

And let me reconfirm, the same From and To address is not a problem and you are saying that it is the right way to do it?

Thanks for your help.

I have a few more questions on the DS-156 for the H4 visa.

1. Question 16: What should be the business phone no. for the H4 applicant - NONE or the principal applicant's business phone no?
2. Question 20: Name and address of the present employer or school - Is this NONE or the principal applicant's employer information?
3. Question 34: Names and relationships of persons travelling with you: Because we are already in the US, should I put NONE for this question or the principal applicant's name and relationship?
4. Date of Birth: The DS-156 form requires DOB to be in dd-mmm-yyyy format, but the instructions at http://travel.state.gov/hlop.html says - Please spell out the month of birth (i.e., write "January 2," not 1/2 or 2/1).

Thanks in advance.

I have another dilemma. I am actively looking for a property right now and it is possible that I may move in 1-3 months, If I can find a place I want.

I plan to include my work address on the return envelope so that is not a problem.

But will it cause any problems with the application as in the DS-156 and 157 I will have to list my current address. So I am concerned about posible problem about the address as by the time they process it, I may be living in a different address.

I also don't want to delay this any further cause of the talk about revalidation being stopped completely by Sep 30.

Any ideas???

I face a similar dilemma and I have been advised by immigration lawyer to use my current address for the return as well or wait until after the move to the new address to send in my application.

On top of what smxhan mentioned, my letter was always addressed to counsular and request at the end to give me H1 for multiple entries for the maximum possible time.

What is the amount for the Visa Reciprocity fee for Indians? Is it $ 50 per travel.state.gov website or Is it $ 75 per Murthy.com?

Thanks

Just print the form with everything else filled and then just write it with your hand. Thats what my friend did and he got his visa stamped.

Hi All,

Have you all recieved your stampped passports yet.

Unfortunately we had to move last month. Now, a couple of my friends who applied with us have got their passports stampped. The got them week before last. I have tried every thing I can to find out if our passports have been mailed back VIA FedEX but FedEx cannot help without a tracking number (which again I dont have - please dont ask why?)

Is there anyway I can find out if the package has been shipped out already or whether the visas have even been stampped?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
RGS.
