I QUIT MY JOB IN NOV 2003 WHILE ON H1, HAVE RECENTLY RETURNED TO INDIA AND CHANGED MY STATUS TO H4.

WILL I BE SUBJECT TO H1 CAP IF I FIND ANOTHER JOB.

Some lawyers argue that if you apply for H4 to H1 within a year of relinquishing previous H1, you are not subject to the cap. Seems logical since H1 &H4 time is cumulatively counted towards 6yr limit.
