H1 form received but no stamp yet. Want to travel

Hi.
1) F-1 stamp expires on jul 2005

2) Obtained H-1b approval letter Oct 2004. But letter requested me to obtain a stamp.

Question:

1) Can I obtain stamp from any country or must be US?

2) Can I travel abroad without my new stamp and used only my current F-1 stamp and H1B approval letter?

Visa stamping must be done only ouside US. Preferably home country.

2) Can I travel abroad without my new stamp and used only my current F-1 stamp and H1B approval letter?

You can travel out of USA but you can not re-enter US with F1 stamp. Your status is changed to H1.. Approval letter is not a visa. if your H1 approval letter has I 94 at bottom, you no need to get your visa stamped immediately you can do it later. (unless you wan to travel out of US)THanks!
