H1 extension

I have my labor and 140 approved and hope to get 3 years H1 extension. Can I change my employer and ask new employer to file my 3 years H1 extension?

(I have also 485 pending over a year, and I know I can switch the job and file AC21 but I also want to be on H1 (safer side) till I get my 485 approved.)

Since your I-140 is approved and 180 days have passed for I-485, you are eligible for AC21 and switch employers. You should switch employer with h1-b transfer rather than using EAD to play safe.
