Hello All,

My H1 extension is been approved but I have not yet receievd the papers. I have to take urgent vacation to India due to family concerns, now my question:

1. How safe is it to leave without papers and have your company fed-ex them to you

2. Is i do wait and take papers, am I gauranteed to get teh visa when I go to local embassy ro are there chances of denail?

3. Do you have to appear in person at local embassy to get the visa stamped?

4. Has anybody been to Chennai Embassy? How are situations there?

please post it in H Visa thread you will get many answers

I will wait for the approval notice or the company can send the approval notice to you in India. it depend on consulate if they create problems, delay or conduct interview
