H1 extension..Urgent

Hi,
My 6 Yrs terms is expiring in June of this Year and I am outof Country for almost 18 Months (6 Months X 3 Times). Now can I apply for H1 extesnion showing this cause.


Please post any ideas about this

Believe you can only do extensions if you LC filed for at least 1 year prior or its been 1 year (no combinations) outside the country after your H-1B 6 year term expired

Why is the out of US period 6 X 3 times? In order to be eligible for a new set of 6yr H visa one has to be outside US for one full year continuously.
