H1 Extension Question

Hi

My H1 stamping, I-94 and H1 approval notice (I-797) is expiring on 01/03/02. My company has filed for extension on 11/20/01. Till now not received any acknowledgement/receipt of this filing. Can I continue staying here after 01/03/02. If so what document I should have which prove my legal status here.

240 days

You can work up to 240 days while the extension is pending. Has your company asked you to fill out I-9 form yet? If so, do you know any negative impact coming from that?
