Hello I have a question.
I have been on a L1 visa from 2000 to 2005. I have just converted it to a H1. My H1 visa expires in march 2006. In the last 5 years i have been out side the US for 13 months. I am looking to reclaim that time. Does the 13 months qualify me for a reset on the clock or does it have to be continuous 1 year outside the US.Please advise

To reset the clock you must be 12 months continously outside US and apply H1 through quota to qualify further 6 year period.

great guru is right. Also, you have the option of immediately applying a Labor: asap and going for 1 year extensions from there on and catch up on the route of Green Card process.
