Hi,
I have been on H1-B status since 2000 so my 6 years will complete in 2006.
I lived outside the US since 2005-2006 for more than a year.
My question is if I have lived outside the US already for more than a year will that count towards the regulation of a new H1 after completion 6th year to be outside the US and then get a new H1 for another 6 years. Meaning, I have lived outside the US for a year in advance.
If that is valid do I get extension on my existing H1 or have to get a new H1?
If new H1 then will my application be in the H1 Cap for 2006 or will it be like H1 transfer situation?
Please suggest/comment/help.
Thanks,
texandude
