H1 Extension and I94

Hi,
My H1 got expired on Oct 26 2002, but My Co had applied the I129 H1 extention on Sept 26th a month before.
I haven't received my H1 extention papers yet.
Also my I94 which has also expired on Oct 26th 2002.

Has someone in the same position. Please respond...

Common scenario. Dont worry - you're in status (at least until 240 days until after filing a non-frivolous extension). Approval takes at least 3-4 months.

what happens after the 240 days period? does that person go out of status??

No. There are a few more than a year extension pending. Read murthy.com old bulletins about news about such cases (6 month+ old)
