H1 extension and Green Card Application

Hello:

I am planning to go and get my H1 stamp on my passport at Chennai. I had a h1 for the same company and this is an extention as the previous h1 expired. My I-140 has been approved about 2 years ago and I still have not filed my 485.

In the H1 application form for getting the stamp, it asks if "anyone has ever filed a petition for immigrant visa on my behalf". I am thinking i should answer this qestion as an "yes". is this the corect answer and will it hurt my chances of me getting a stamp based on the H1 extension approval.

The answer : Yes is correct , and no it will not affect your H1 extension, since H1 is a dual intent visa (H1s are allowed to immigrate legally...)
 
I just applied for LC

I am also planning to get a new H1 visa.I just applied for LC (labor cert). Do I also have to say "yes" for the immigrant visa question on DS form?
