H1 Expired Working on EAD Want 7 year H1

Guys,
My 6 years H1 expired in June and since then I have been working on EAD.Can I apply for 7 year H1 Now ?
My I-485 is pending for about 1.5 years.

I don’t think you can apply for 7th year extension because you are no more on H1 status
