H1 expiration- CP interview - need advice

My H1 will be expiring on 25th May and my interview is on 20th June.
My company has already applied for an extension. Do I have to leave before 25th May or I can leave later also. If I leave later then do I have any problem in transit?
Please give your input CP gurus.

Application receipt = temporary extension?

Please double-check with your lawyers, but I believe the extension application receipt qualifies as an extension until the approval is complete.

Mine expired in mid-April and my CP interview was on May 3rd. The company applied for the extension at the beginning of April and I was told that I\'d be covered.

You should not have any problem. Once you have the copy of the

receipt while leavaing US you should not have any problem. Obviously you cannot use it for coming back. Off course if you get your GC there is no problem and you needn\'t bother about H1 and you have asafe passage back
