Hi,

I did masters 10 years back. And i have around
2 years of gap in mid of employment due to bubble lay off.

So around 8 years of experience is in very good companies.

i want to file for H1B from abroad, can i face any problems from INS due to this GAP. Also at the same time my employer want to file my GC as well so can there be any problem in GC due to this employment GAP.

Thanks,

Bruce

Elaborate - were you IN THE US during your gap in employment? That would be the only problem I foresee. If you were overseas during your employment gaps, it's pretty much irrelevant. Good luck.

Hi Everyone,

During initial H1 b filing- do they verify all the employments ( any gaps there of) on the CV. ( its about NON US employments).

Also, if the CV given to the sponsor ( in US) differs from the CV given at the time of H1 b filing then will that be a prob?

are these things checked under PIMS verification? what all is covered under PIMS?

Never lie on the resume and maintain the same versions of resume at all times. It is okay to have a gap in employment is not at all a big deal. You will be fine. PIMS check covers only the fact that the petition was actually approved by USCIS. Nothing more than that.
