Hi all,

A few questions :

1) H1 becomes invalid the moment one starts using EAD, right ?.

2) Is there a way to switch back to H1 after being on EAD ?.

3) Can one work on H1, but travel in & out of US using AP ?. (I mean without getting the visa stamped).

4) Is AP valid only for a single trip abroad ?. I mean does one need to apply for AP everytime one is back in the US from a foreign tour so that one could use it for the next trip ?. Or is it valid for a year, like the EAD, allowing multiple entries/exits on a yearly basis ?.

5) What are the problems if the GC gets issued while one is out of US on AP ?. Does AP gets cancelled automatically then ?.

Thanx

It depends. If you use the EAD to do something your H-1 doesn't allow on its own (like working for another employer), then yes.

Leave the US, and then re-enter.

Yes. Search for the Cronin Memorandum.

It is valid for multiple entries.

You should be able to re-enter.
