H1 Cancellation and transfer question

Hi

This is my first post in the forum. I just came to know that my employer has written to INS to cancel my H1 visa.

could I apply for an H1 Transfer from another company?

Will I be in status? What needs to be done?

transfer your H1 to some other company immdtly ..just fax your recent pay stub (2 or 3) to them..and hopefully you have a project with them..

cancellation of visa by your previous employer would take some time to come into affect as they need to get an attorney and I believe there is also some fees for cancellation. So chances are by the time USCIS cancels it ..the visa would be transferred ..And use premium processing !!
