I have an unsual situation. I got my H1 status converted my my F1 status in 2001. Since Iwas in the US I didn't get it stamped on my passport . Later during the year around in september 13 I got my appointment set with the American consulate in Canada to gte my h1-b visa stamped on my passport. So I would avoid going to my home country to get it stamped . Then after September 11th incident all flights were cancelled and I couldn't go , after that I was busy with work and have not still got my visa stamped on my passport .
Its still the first time , and more than a year has past , it will be close to two years now .
Will I be in trouble , or can I still go to canada to get it stamped ?
If I go to India to get it stamped are there certain documents that I need to take with me ?
