H1-B VISA from Chennai through TTS drop box

I came here on F1 VISA and got H1-B mutliple 4.5 yrs back from Mexico US consulate and traveled twice on that VISA.

Now, My H1-B VISA has expired 1.5 years back and I'm planning to go to INDIA and get my VISA from Chennai US Consulate.
I would like to know what is the time frame for getting a VISA from the time we drop it in TTS DROP BOX FACILITY.

Please let me know if anybody has information.

If your case is clear, you can get your new H1 visa in 8-10 days.
However, if your case has complications like being out of status, working without authorization, questionable employer (body shops) it may take much longer. Also if your name matches any FBI hit list, you will have problems. In such cases, expect delays of upto 2 months.
