Is there a minimum time period for which I have to work for a company that has sponsored my H1 before I can transfer that H1 to another job?
----- Generally you should work for 3-4 months ( it is not law that work for 3-4 months one can work for 2-3 months) the work is must because for H1 to H1 transfer you need recent pay stubs and if you don’t work you will not have recent pay stubs. If you have 2-3 recent pay stubs you can file H1 transfer through new employer and new employer or his lawyer should get new LCA from DOL and it can be done in 2-3 days as LCA is fax back system and they can file H1 transfer, join the new employer after they provide you the H1 transfer filing reciept from USCIS
