Hello Everyone. I have a quick question. Can a person continue to work for the previous employer for few days (about 2 weeks)? I need to give a 2 weeks notice to my current employer and I was wondering if I could do that after the transfer is complete.

Ps. I understand one can start working for the new company right after getting a reciept. I just wanted to be on the safer side.. just in case of a rejection.
Many Thanks and Warm Regards

---Yes if that employer has not revoked your H1 by writing to USCIS

---------------- FYI at this time many H1 transfers are getting rejected by USCIS. Play safe and let the employer file H1 transfer through premium Process so that you know the result in 20-25 days from the date new employer sends H1 transfer petition to USCIS. join only AFTER H1 Transfer gets approved and you have transfer approval in your hand. I know about few cases where they joined new employer with H1 transfer filing receipt and H1 transfer was Denied and Past employer also revoked H1 and they had to depart US as they dont had any status.

I just wanted to be on the safer side.. just in case of a rejection.
