H1-B Transfer and travel

I have an H1-B visa transfer in progress. My understanding is that I will be able to start working for the new company immediately. I will have a need to travel abroad before my approval form gets returned. Will I have issues getting back into the country, or is the transfer receipt sufficient? My orginal H1 employer will cancel before the transfer takes place.

------ best option go AFTER you get H1 transfer notice or upgrade the pending H1 with premium processing so that you get the approval
