H1-B to EAD, job loss

Hi, I will got laid off this week, any advice would help!!

Current Status:
- I-140 : Approved
- I-485 : Pending for more than 180 days ( prority date: 09/2006 )
- H1-B : will expire the end of this year, it is my fifth years of H1-B

I'm thinking to apply EAD, so that I can work in US. Here is my questions:

1) when I fill out the I-765, what should I put under Item #16 (eligibility category)?
2) When I can start working once I send out my application?
3) How long does it take to get the filing receipt and approval from government?
