H1-B timing

Dear friends and gurus:

I need your advice on filling for an H1-B for one of my employees. Her practical training expires on January 10th next year. When do I need to submit her paperwork to make sure she will not get out of status? What is the timeline nowadays for H1-B approval? The service center would be NSC.
