Hello
My status has changed to H1B from F1 on 14th Feb 2003. Now my question is Do I need to pay Medicare and social security taxes? My friend was saying these taxes do not apply on me at least until 6 months in H1-b. Also I am still non-immigrant then why do I need to pay these taxes? What is the rule in this case?
Please help me out.
