H1-B Stamping in Chennai - Info needed

Hi all,
 I was a student from 2000 Sept to 2001 June and then got my H-1 B in August 2001. I have been working in the US since Aug 2001 on H1-B. I now plan to go to India to get my H1-B visa stamped. My hometown comes under the jurisdiction of the US Consulate in Chennai. I would like to know the procedure and documents I need to submit to get my H1-B stamped. Is the drop box system through TT services still valid. Any help/information in this regard will be much appreciated.

visit http://www.ttsvisas.com/ and http://madras.sphynx.com/ for documentation requirements. You have to use drop box and it takes anywhere 10-12 days for stamping. I returned lastweek and I used drob box. (l1-h1) and my spouse\'s l2-h4-h1. Things were normal. don\'t know the rules now. I heard now they need police clearence for new visa applicants http://www.usvisanews.com/memo1546.html

Thanks for the info. But i see nowhere on the websites u suggested that a anon-immigrant visa (H1-B) requires police clearance. But I did see immigrant visa applicants (Green card) need police clearance. Could you tell me where you got the info that H1-Bs require police clearance.
