H1-B, Skip Paychecks

Can one afford to skip a few paychecks (as advised by the firm) due to lack of work at the firm and still maintain H1B status or the paychecks must keep coming continuosly???
 
One or two may be Ok.
But your W2 must match your LCA wages for H1 stamping in the future.

I already have H1 stamping valid until 2008. Therefore, will it mean my W-2 for 2007 should match the LCA wages for future H1 extension??
